WOW...he's a young man now!!! We used to do pizza every Friday nite too but we're slowly cutting it out...I'm done with white carbs (for the most part...i still do LOVE italian bread but one of my new year goals this year was to cut way back or totally be done with white carbs) and I just haven't found a good whole wheat one from the establishments we like. Do you know of any, Karen? I need hints!!
Yes! He is a young man now. He has a great heart and helps me tremendously with keeping things flowing here and next door with my parents. He is truly a blessing.
We usually use King Arthur Whole Wheat flour. We don't do organics, it is just too expensive. We have taken the view that we will do our best to eat healthfully, get some daily exercise and try to get sufficient sleep. I have read so many articles and posts about cutting things out of our diets and when I stepped back and compared what I was reading with what the scriptures teach, I decided that I was just not going to worry about "what" I eat, but "how much" I eat is what I will watch. I hope you find what you are looking for, Faith. I'm sorry that I can't be more helpful. Thanks for stopping over!
Hi Karen! That pizza looks AWESOME. We still do pizza here every Thursday, it is a favorite of the boys. Josh will make garbage bread every now and then and he does a really great job with it. I can't afford organics either only once in a blue moon when there is a good sale. I stick with whatever fruits are on sale on any given week. My favorite pizza which I haven't had in quite a while is from a place across the street from where I work, white pizza with tomatoes, broccoli and loads of cheese, and of course a layer of grease on top. LOL, doesn't hurt to indulge once in a while.
Hi Erin! that pizza sound delicious! Making our own pizza has really been a good choice for us. We start the dough around 4:00 and let it bubble and rise and then Joel usually breaks the dough into 3 sections and makes three pizzas. Each one is a little different. Sometimes he uses up some leftover meat or vegetables. Sometimes he experiments with spices and herbs. One that he likes (it is okay but not my favorite) is cinnamon and red pepper mixed in the sauce with cheese. He really like garlic and he went through an "everything has to have garlic stage". I think we were really healthy then. :D
